Nanci has been teaching KPT classes for over two years and loves the socialization, development and early training this class provides. She believes the foundation laid here is a very important step for all dogs. Nanci has also been teaching beginner classes for several years and enjoys seeing both dogs and their humans be successful and happy when learning new skills. She is an AKC (American Kennel Club) Canine Good Citizen evaluator as well. She is a member of IACP (International Association of Canine Professionals) and attends seminars regularly to broaden her teaching base and keep current on new methods and ideas in training. Nanci is currently owned by two goofy, lovable, Labrador Retrievers and has earned titles in both Obedience and Rally with her dogs. In her spare time she volunteers for a local Labrador Retriever rescue organization.
Peggy has been a member of OYRDTC for over thirty years and an instructor for twenty. She has two Beagles and a Lab, and competes in Rally and Obedience events with the two youngest. Her Lab, Jenny, competes in Dock Diving. Her oldest Beagle, Cody, has over 18 obedience titles and has been nationally ranked. All of her dogs are registered therapy dogs. Peggy is a tester/observer for the Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Inc. and also sits on their board of directors. She is also an evaluator for the AKC Canine Good Citizen program. She enjoys continuing education by attending seminars from some of the top handlers in the field of obedience.
Tina Hatfield has been teaching Obedience for the past 15 years in various locations throughout Montgomery County – in Horsham at the Horsham Veterinary Hospital, in Wyndmoor at Suburban Dog Training Club and in Colmar at the K9JYM. An advocate of “not one method” Tina believes you can’t apply the same training techniques to every dog. Each student needs to be approached with multiple ideas to figure out what method works best. She combines practical applications in training, all the while making it fun for your dog to learn. Helping students realize their dogs have so much potential and seeing that development is incredibly rewarding! Tina competes predominately in AKC venues with her Golden Retrievers in Obedience and Agility and has experience in Tracking and Therapy Dog venues too.
Jeanne-Anne joined the Old York Road Dog Training Club Instructor team in 2017. She comes to us with many years of experience in obedience instruction and is well known in the dog community. Jeanne-Anne currently has Great Pyrenees and is active in AKC Rally and Obedience competition. Jeanne-Anne is also available for private training. We are so happy and lucky to have her as an instructor.
